Join us at the Detroit Historical Museum for a Community Connect Program for people living with dementia and their care partners. This month’s theme will be “The Great Migration.”
More information about this month’s theme: At the turn of the last century, millions of African Americans fled the racial oppression of the South to seek new lives in the North. This Great Migration changed the fabric of Detroit and the United States forever. In honor of Women’s History Month, Detroit-based actress and storyteller, Madelyn Porter, will embody three brave women who made the journey and whose amazing stories impacted the world for years to come.
